Christopher von Hessert

I've spent most of my career in cybersecurity. My focus now is turning the security function into autonomous, agent-driven workflows, so security by design is part of everything an organisation builds and runs. Agents do the recurring work, and people keep the judgment.

Most of how I think about security comes back to trust. It's the one asset a company can't rebuild on its own schedule: you can replace infrastructure in a weekend, but not a customer's belief that you'll tell them the truth when something goes wrong. Everyone gets hit eventually, so the work that earns trust has to happen before the bad day.

Along the way I've built and operated large, globally distributed teams at ServiceNow, sold and consulted on security solutions for large enterprises at IBM, and worked with the justice system and law enforcement on forensic investigations and reports. I also advise and invest in startups, and provide support and guidance on company boards.
